Yesterday two of my friends were married at Gear Homestead. We used to binge drink together back in high school, they were a solid couple even then. Their wedding day was intimate and love filled. Brendan had tears in his eyes as Elyse made her entrance, and they shared a tissue during the vows.
At one point while I was photographing Brendan, I asked Elyse to stand behind me so I could capture his face full of the love, admiration and adoration, the way he looks when they are looking at each other. Quietly, from behind me, I heard Elyse whisper “I love you”.
I just about died.
I left their wedding utterly exhausted (after being peer pressured onto the dance floor!) but on a total high. There is no better feeling for me than capturing people in love. True love. The type that will last forever. I also gave birth to a clowder when I saw the gorgeous evening light that we had to work with at 5pm – there is definitely something to be said for April weddings!
This was my last wedding for this season (don’t worry, still plenty still to blog!), and it was great to go out with a pop. Pretty cool to start and finish my season at the Homestead too!
Here’s a pretty song to listen too while you scroll through this mini blog.
Congratulations Brendan and Elyse, it was perfect! Have a great honeymoon!
