Katrina and Richard are some of the sweetest, most humble souls I’ve come across. They are so perfectly matched, so happy together. They chose to have a small intimate wedding ceremony with only 40 of their favourite people at the White House restaurant in Oriental Bay, overlooking a glorious blue sky day. I loved photographing this wedding that was completely devoid of pretense and all completely about family and love – but in a cuddly lovely way not a saccharine corny way!
Because their priority was to spend time with their guests and enjoy a stunning meal after their ceremony, we did their bridal portraits before the wedding, and a cute as can be first look, at Te Papa museum. And although they told me they were difficult to photograph, I knew when I saw the way they looked at each other, that we would have no trouble at all! They didn’t stop giggling the whole time.
