Part of what I love the most about wedding photography, is getting to know so many crazy awesome people who also work in the industry – not just photographers, but all kinds of lovely creative people: florists, stylists, make up artists, dressmakers, cake bakers, singers, celebrants, and the owners of beautiful venues… Everyone in this industry is passionate about what the do and what they can provide to their loved up couples.
So when one such ‘wedding friend’ (my top fav Mindy from Twig & Arrow – flowers and styling) approached me to shoot an amazing styled concept that she had been dreaming about called ‘Watercolour Love’, I was on the floor flattered and naturally keen as a bean! As the planning for the shoot continued and Mindy rounded up more and more amazing suppliers – the creme of the Wellington wedding scene – I started to get somewhat nervous! On the day (which also happened to be my birthday… a candy table? for me? oh thanks!) I was sick with that nasty coughy-sick-in-bed virus that’s been going around, and frankly was ready enough to curl up and die… but when I saw things coming together – the incredible elements Mindy was pulling together, the stunning bouquets and incredible candy table… I miraculously started feeling somewhat better!
After our hard work on this insane shoot we were lucky enough to have the images featured on NZ’s premiere wedding blog Magnolia Rouge you can check out the post HERE.
